Based in Oxford, N.C., Union Bank has expanded its presence in the Research Triangle region with a Cary location built by Rufty-Peedin. Board member Steve Zaytoun shared his vision for the new bank branch.
“We’re excited about the market and believe our new building sits in the path of tremendous growth over the next 15 years,” said Zaytoun. “We want to be a part of the Cary community’s long-term growth.”
It’s no secret that building in a high-profile retail development can be a daunting task. Throughout the process, Zaytoun and the board were particularly impressed with Rufty-Peedin’s ability to navigate the challenges of municipal permitting and approvals.
“The team demonstrates the utmost professionalism,” he said. “Working through design modifications with the architect and the Town of Cary was not at all hostile, because Steven Peedin and his team unite everyone toward a common goal.”
Zaytoun also noted the importance of weekly on-site meetings and assigned project managers and site superintendents. “They kept staff informed so there were no surprises,” he said.
“Good guys finish first and on-time, and Rufty-Peedin are definitely good guys,” said Zaytoun. You can watch our Union Bank “concept-to-keys” video interview here.
