Auto Interiors & Tops Building Restoration

Rufty-Peedin restored a commercial building in Raleigh for Auto Interiors & Tops. When the owners came to us in 2017, the building was in very rough condition. An article in the ITB Insider showed the early stages of this design-build project and the original condition of the building.

Renovating commercial buildings is not for the faint of heart. Restoration requires experience at detecting site problems to accurately budget and timeline this type of commercial project.

Built in the 1950s, the building’s original purpose was as a grocery. With a vision for the future, the newly restored facility offers Auto Interiors & Tops room to expand.

A perfect example of adaptive re-use and redevelopment along a corridor of Wilmington St. in transition. This building’s transformation into a state-of-the-art facility is bringing new life to this industrial sector.
