Building Public Storage On Highway 55

From multi-story self-storage facilities to complex jobs on unique terrain, Rufty-Peedin has experience solving the most difficult site challenges. In 2014, we completed the 89,000 square foot Public Storage facility in Cary on Highway 55 near Good Hope Church Road. With an eye-catching clock tower and all-brick exterior, this building fits in context within the design aesthetic of the community, while also bringing a much needed service to this growing corridor of Cary.

Equally important, this facility coexists in harmony with nature as we installed a series of holding tanks that filter water and capture nitrogen before it reaches the nearby Neuse River. Protecting our precious waterways is vitally important to our team and the owners, and the adjoining retention pond is home to many natural species. Stop by and you’ll surely hear the frogs. And you may even catch a glimpse of deer huddled in the forest.
